Founded in 2002, Unique Data Solutions began consulting with hardwood lumber companies to grasp the unique requirements of the hardwood lumber industry, and after years of research and development, Lumbergear software was rolled out. The sales module is also integrated with the  shipping and freight module, which notifies the shipping department in real-time when an order is ready for shipping, ensuring that products reach customers in a timely manner. System users also can view previous orders and sales statistics. The purchasing and procurement module facilitates rapid completion of the procurement process. Printing purchase orders, faxing, or e-mailing vendors is streamlined and fast. The purchasing module integrates with Lumbergear's production module, inventory and stock control, and shipping and receiving. Once lumber is purchased, delivered, and received, it is added to the inventory automatically. Users also have the option to redirect purchased products directly to customers.

Work orders can also be created for purchased lumber, increasing mill efficiency. The production module makes it possible to  manufacture umber with predetermined product codes with description to reduce production errors during the manufacturing process and increase production speed and efficiency. The inventory management module is a core module of Lumbergear , and it allows the easy maintenance of inventory assets. Tracking and auditing inventory is also very easy, and you can search by all product attributes of lumber items and barcodes. Users can also perform single and batch operations.
